Venture through oriental lands, meeting mythical creatures and collecting procedurally placed herbs. Mei is a bright child who has to carry out errands for her grandfather, as his herbal ingredients keep going missing. 


Made for PlayJam using Pulp.

  

HOW TO PLAY:

Your task is to get the herbs that are on the errand list. If an herb is unobtainable, you can start a new day by talking to the grandfather; the day will pass and new ones will grow.

  

 

CONTROLS:

Left and Right D-Pad for movement.

Button B to open the errand list.

Button A to open inventory

Up D-Pad to pick up item.

Down D-Pad to throw item.

Use the Crank to orient the cursor on inventory.

Press Button A three times while docked, to turn on music.

Press Button B three times while docked, to turn off music.

For Windows/Mac: 

  1. Download and Install the Playdate SDK / Simulator.
  2. Download the game and extract zipped folder.
  3. Run the Playdate Simulator.
  4. Ctrl + O and locate the extracted folder.

This sounds pretty cool! I have pre-ordered a playdate, still waiting for it to arrive, and this sounds like a neat game to play on it. I'd like to see become a full game at some point.

Thank you for reporting it! If I may ask, what version of the game are you playing? and perhaps where did you encounter the crash (e.g. picking up herbs, starting a new day, etc.)?

I really like the foundation of this game as it is and hope you do plan on expanding. I was sad I couldn't do any more scavenging after that first day. Really solid and love the idea/concept!
